Joseph, The Carpenter (Symphonic Worship)
Composição: Fernando Alva.Neither a king, nor a priest were you,
Nor a man of fame or might,
But God looked upon the righteous,
To hold a mystery in His sight.
From the House of David, descendant,
Guardian of the heavens' plan,
Mary bore the Son of Glory,
And you, the faithful, silent man.
When doubt arose, you chose to believe,
When the angel spoke, you chose to receive.
Though you had the right, you chose the altar,
With a love so pure, it would never falter.
Hail Joseph, full of grace,
Man of faith, chosen to guard.
You were the shelter, the bread, and the guide,
For the Child and the Virgin Mary.
Hail Joseph, just and wise,
Your silence is the voice of the Almighty.
Your heart, so loyal and so true,
Made a home for the love that was born in you.
Kings arrived with gold and incense,
Bringing promises from on high,
But you guarded the sacred treasure,
Without covetousness, nor veil.
To Egypt’s night you fled in shadows,
Following the angel’s breath,
Your faith became a shield of iron,
Protecting the Savior from the snares of death.
A God-fearing man, a servant of good,
The chosen one among the sons of David.
You saw the holy promise through,
Embracing the Child Heaven trusted to you.
Hail Joseph, full of grace,
Man of faith, chosen to guard.
You were the shelter, the bread, and the guide,
For the Child and the Virgin Mary.
Hail Joseph, just and wise,
Your silence is the voice of the Almighty.
Your heart, so loyal and so true,
Made a home for the love that was born in you.
While the world was sleeping deep,
You kept your watch in peace.
God entrusted Christ to your care,
For He knew the soul you held within there.
It wasn't glory that moved your hand,
But the fear of the Lord across the land.
A father’s heart, though not by blood,
An example of the purest love.
Hail Joseph, man of faith,
Full of the grace that Heaven gave.
Your obedience was a song of light,
In the house where Jesus grew in might.
In your silence, the Father spoke,
In your surrender, love awoke.
Hail Joseph…
Full of grace… the grace of the Lord.
