Overgrowth
Composição: Marisa Narciso.Push. Pull. Break. Bloom.
The streetlights flicker on at six
The mortar holds the heavy bricks
The circuit board is dry and clean
The city is a grand machine
Fracture in the limestone...
But underneath, the water swells
Digging through the hollow shells
A green ghost in the wiring
The heartbeat is untiring
The sidewalk is a tectonic plate
Buckling under the dandelion's weight
Push. Pull. Break. Bloom.
We are dancing in the empty room
Push. Pull. Break. Bloom.
Nature is the only heirloom
Let the ivy write the map tonight
Veins of emerald choking out the lligh
It doesn’t happen with a bang or a blade
Just a trillion tiny shadows in the shade
Root by root, and cell by cell
The forest rings the heavy bell
The blueprint is breathing... breathing... breathing...
The iron trellis snaps like bone
Ivy fingers claim the throne
The forest is forgetting man
Push... pull... break... bloom...
